Spring Break and Stuff

This will be a good week. We're on spring break, so I'll be happy to have the opportunity to turn in to domestic Tammy. While I really do love my job, I sometimes miss the time I used to spend as a stay at home mom, taking care of my home. To me there is still not a more satisfying feeling than having my home in order. I actually enjoy cleaning, arranging, (trying to) taking care of my husband and making things nice here.

Today - the first day of spring break, Jeff and I are going to travel to Lebanon Ohio. We had toyed with the idea of going away for a couple of days, but then decided we'd more enjoy just hanging out and doing what our moods dictate. So, today we're out for breakfast on our way to a day of antiquing.

Tomorrow Jeff is off for another day, so we'll just play it by ear.

Wednesday I'm taking mom to Sherwin Williams and then out to lunch.

Thursday I have yet another dental appointment and then an early dinner with Megan.

Friday, I'll be preparing for our Easter dinner which I'll be hosting on Saturday. I made this decision so I'll have a day of rest before going back to school on Monday, Farrah and Jim are arriving on Friday afternoon. Farrah is bringing the dessert for Easter dinner. She has turned out to be a gourmet cook! Friday night we'll have pizza.

Saturday - Easter dinner at 1:00. We'll be having salmon patties, mac/cheese, baked beans, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, broccoli slaw, rolls, corn, vegetable salad and a raspberry torte (compliments of Farrah). This menu is a tradition - two separate meals, for the various favorites of the seven guests.

Sunday - maybe some bridge playing with Jim and Farrah. When they leave, preparations for Monday will begin.

As far as school goes - a lot of changes are taking place and there are a lot of loose ends for me. I hate loose ends, but all of them are out of my control. The good news is I have resigned from my sub finding responsibilities for the new year. I don't know who will take this on, but . . . that NOT MY PROBLEM! Someone else will have the "opportunity" to gross $1,400 dollars per year for being on call at least 15 1/2 hours a day. It's not a matter of money for me - a raise wouldn't make a difference in my decision to give up this job. I NEED a break! In my head, though . . . I have come up with the figure of $5,000. If THAT was offered, I MAY consider it. :):):):)LOLOLOLOLOLOL

Well, it's time to prepare for "vacation". Off to start our day of antiquing!
